On/off bad idle and engine cutting off
86 305 TPI IROC
The car will sometimes take a while to find a steady idle, but will fix itself and idle fine.
Also while driving it will sometimes stumble and cut off, RPMs drop to zero then a sec later jump back up; does that a few times, then drives fine for a few minutes and the does it again
Car has less than 1 month old
cap and rotor
ign module
plugs and wires
IAC and TPS where cleaned/checked
no vacuum leaks I can find
Any help would be appreciated

Re: On/off bad idle and engine cutting off
check injector o rings for a vac leak, spray a little water around them, if you hear the engine stumble, bam! Make sure the throttle body and plates are clean, and not all gummed up. Check ignition timing, double check all vacuum hoses are hooked up properly. Disconnect the MAF and see if the car runs better, if it does, thats probably the problem. No CEL light?
