Ok here is the deal guys I have a 86 trans am with the stock 305 tpi in it.... well I have been looking for a 350 tpi for almost a year now because I just don't want a 305 but I haven't had any luck.... and I wanted to know could I just get a 350 tbi(because they are much easier to find) and put the tpi system off my 305 on that engine???? Will it be just as strong as a 350 tpi from the factory??.... and is it a hard swap to do??? Will I have any issues with the computer and wiring harness from the tpi going on the 350 tbi engine...... please help me out guys because I'm running out of options and I just can't stand this 305 mainly because the rest of my f- body crew have 350's lol......

 

It'll work, but a stock tbi 350 has a different cam that may not work well with the tpi computer, also the 350tpi uses 22 lb injectors your 305 has 19 lb injectors and may cause some issues.

 

And I think the TBI engine has the swirl-port heads which aren't that great.
