Swap to TPI in early firebird

Car: 91 Firebird,00 c2500,75 Vette
Engine: 3.1 but 350 soon, 350, 350
Transmission: T56 soon
Axle/Gears: stock 3.42 Posi to come
Swap to TPI in early firebird
I realize my car is a 91 but I need to know if in a early 3rd gen if there is a problem or something special needed to put TPI in. Specifically about the computers and VATS. The early birds did not have VATS and I am wondering if you would need a non VATS computer or how this is made to work. I am wondering because my car is VATS but it is not working. Bypass is working but not entirely properly. To swap to a TPI V8 I would have to eliminate the VATS security and most TPI cars had the VATS. Any thoughts or suggestions.
