Recommend me an injector.

looking for an injector upgrade for our current super ram running accel 30 lb/hr set up.

I dont want to throw off the tune unless i have to. The goal is to get a more efficient injector that is also reliable. Also, I would like to get improved atomization and performance.

My thought was to get 8 stock GM supercharged 3.8 injectors that are rated

at 34.28 lbs/hr @ 45 psi.

I understand there are a lot of injector manufactures out there but i am not too familiar with each one.

TIA

Are those the injectors that came with the setup?

What do you mean "more efficient"? The term does not exist.

WHY? Who gave you that information and based on what information?

I understand there are a lot of injector manufactures out there but i am not too familiar with each one.

There's only 5 or 6 manufacturers of injectors, the rest just put their name one them. Bosch, Siemans, delphi, Denso, standard, one or two others.. that's about it.

I guess the question is what are we talking about here? What cam, heads, compression, etc... What does the engine look like and how did you come to the conclusion you needed 30 lb in the first place and why do you think you need to go bigger, and finally, what brings you to the conclusion that bigger injectors are going to do the trick?

Too much detail missing here to give an honest recontamination.

Re: Recommend me an injector.

i think i got some info confused the 3.8 may be low impedance and the third gens are high impedance.

yes the 30 lb/hr came with the set up.

now we are going with the 383 CID with the super ram and last i checked we were still running 45 psi.

how much HP will the Bosch III support in this setup?

Also, to be honest i dont know if bigger injectors will do the trick. I was looking for the injector o-ring size and i ran into some fuel injector size calculators and became concern about the lack of fuel delivery or running lean in top end with our cam. the cam is is pretty hot. we have over .580 lift, 11:1 compression may be 12 (flat top pistons), the heads are the edelbrock performers, and we will be running pump race fuel. Let me know if you need more info.

Nick

Re: Recommend me an injector.

Thank you. i advised my cousin (owner of the car) about the deal. We will see what he decides and will let you know.

Oh, we measured the injectors and they are shorter than the stock TPI injectors, so we dont need modified injectors.
