Couple quick questions
Hey everybody, I'm just about to button up the TPI 350 I got to replace my blown carb'd one and I've run into a snag. Can someone Please post a couple of pics of the serpentine drive system for an 87 Iroc TPI 350? I feel really dumb, I got all the pieces for the front drive system when I got the engine but most of them were in a box not attached to anything. Also is the cold start injector really a nessecity? I live in Southeastern North Carolina it barely gets down to freezing here in the winter. Well usually this winters been pretty cold already.

Still need to clean the throttle body, waiting for the rebuild kit. I have the valvecovers wrinkle finish black now, I have the Edlebrock headers I had on the previous engine painted with high heat paint, the intake runners are almost polished, the plenum is as polished as I want it hopefully it'll get finished in the next few days after Xmas.

Re: Couple quick questions
Ok. The cold start injector has nothing to do with the weather. It primes the engine when it is cold ie. not warmed up. The 87 350 has a vbelt system not a serpentine. If you are converting to serpentine, do a google search for 88 model pics. GM switched to serpentine in 88. Just remember, with a serpentine setup, your accessories swap sides and rotate in the opposite direction from the v belt. In other words, you gotta replace your alternator, A/C compressor if you have one, etc.

Re: Couple quick questions
Engine is out of an 87 Iroc, it has a Serp belt on the alternator, a v-belt on the a/c, and p/s. My previous engine had a V-belt set up with the alt on the drivers side, this appears to be a passenger side mount alternator, I have all the brackets and accessories that came with the engine they just weren't attached to the engine or the brackets to the accessories for that matter. I'll post pics in a minute. I have seen kits to bypass the C/S injector and block off plates I was more wondering if there was a benefit to removing it. Living in the south and not really warming up my car much Didn't know if I needed it.
