I'm new to this so I apologize in advance. I have a 91 5.7 Z28. Does anyone have advice on engine mods I can do. I have about 5k to invest in the motor. Was thinking a swap, but that's over my head and don't think I can swing that if I'm paying someone to do it. My brother had a 92 with cam, runners, throttle body, and some other mods, but he said he was never happy with it (not fast enough). Don't want to invest a bunch to get the same result. Not trying to go 11's in the car, but would like a little kick. Maybe 50-75hp. Engine has 115k and runs like a champ. Cats are off, 3 inch exhaust, home made ram air, advanced timing, tune up, and that's it. Nothing really. I know enough about cars to get by, but by no means do I consider my self a mechanic. Can anyone give me some tips. Thanks!!
