CSS abd CSI circuit short

CSI and CSS circuit. 88 tpi bird. I have a short in my Cold start circuit. I traced it all under hood, found nothing, my guess is its in between the dashside c207 to the fuse block.

When it stops snowing, Ill have to check on it. They call for a 3 amp crank fuse, which it blows immediately. I can put a twenty in and it wont blow, but I prefer to fix things the right way.

I dont think the ignition switch is causing it, but i guess its possible. i want to get my harness finally squared away before it finds itself in the 87 GTA

First off I'm curious how you came to the conclusion that the problem is in your cold start circuit? Also when you say that your fuse blows immediately do you mean that as soon as you put the fuse in even with the key in the off position? Lastly have you checked the resistances of the cold start injector switch/cold start injector?

Re: CSS abd CSI circuit short

Even with the css disconnected, with a test light from the purple wire (12v) to positive battery, KOEO, not cranking, my test light lights up, indicating a problem. The gauge blows only when cranking, when power is supposed to be supplied to the Cold start circuit. I have three Cold start switches that all test out fine, and all three cause the same problem.
