Carb to TPI
I'm sure this has been asked before maybe even numerous times but is there a benefit from swapping from a carb to a TPI? I understand that a fuel injected engine will last longer but for the trouble and expense is swapping worth it?
Re: Carb to TPI
The benefits to switching are easier starts, better fuel control, which results in smoother overall operation, and better reliability.
You don't have to switch all the way to a TPI. There are throttle body systems
There's a number of ways to go, depending on desires and budget. .

Re: Carb to TPI
The budget wont be much but I was wondering if it is cost feasible? I mean to change over you'll have to run fuel lines to an new gas tank and fuel pump in it then all the electronics.. Wonder if the gas milage would increase enough to justify it?

Re: Carb to TPI
Dont mean 2 thread jack here but im also thinking about converting...i have the opportunity to get a complete tip setup harness ecu and everything for about 400...im running a carbed 305 right now and want to also to a 5 speed swap...what kind of increase in gas mileage should i expect with the tpi...and will a decent 5 speed hold up with a tpi 305?
