Changing Fuel Pump On '90 Iroc-Z TPI
After Dropping The Rear End & The Gas Tank Is Taking Out The Old Fuel Pump & Connecting The New Fuel Pump And Dropping It In Difficult? I've Never Changed A Fuel Pump Before But Im Kinda Short On Cash So I was Thinking Of Doing It Myself. I heard It Has To Go In A Certain Direction Or It Wont Work Properly And Is Connecting The Fuel Lines And Wires A Pain? I Was Planning On Getting A 255LPH Pump Because I Plan On Doing An LS1 Swap Within The Year & Dont Want To have To Change It Again, Im Looking At This Particular One On eBay, Any Advice On Anything Im Planning On Doing? Thanks

Not that difficult changing the old fuel pump, the majority of the work is in dropping the rear. Once you have the tank out it would be a good idea to clean out the tank, also don't forget to replace the fuel filter. You might consider a different pump, do a search on brands and feedback, it would a shame considering all the work involved in changing a pump it you put in a crappy pump.
