evap purge hose location on intake

Did an engine conversion and I am trying to figure out where to put the purge hose from the charcol can... I can see from the diagrams that it goes on the front right side of the intake manifold...but...i have only the ccv inlet on top and there is a hole under it but it dead ends and has no threds or barb sticking out of it. I am wondering if this is the spot, can I drill the hole and tap some threads or ??? I am in CA so I need the evap can to pass smog.
Here is a pic of the area I am talking about, this is the best pic I could get. Again, it is the passenger/right side of the engine.

Obviously you have a early TB without purge provision
Need to plumb it like the early TPI cars and put the purge line into PCV line into drv side of intake.

Or get a later model TB with the purge port on pass side

thanks!! Thought something was going on...must have the old TB... Will see if my smog referee will accept this diagram as good enough for passing smog... Will this also work for the CCV (air in) side of the valve cover instead of the pcv side...I have my canister mounted on the passenger side rear of the engine compart.

If you want to fill the crankcase of your engine up with petrol fumes

Connection to drv side vac connection puts the fumes straight into the intake to be burnt

I thought the ccv and the pcv were both Crankcase Ventilators? both go from the intake into the valve covers. Wouldn't it be going into the crankcase either way...ccv or pcv? Can you please expain the differences more to me vetteoz? I'm the rookie here and need some more lessons on this stuff... just trying to eliminate more hoses criss crossing the engine..

Check out your engine

Air TO Pass side cover comes FROM the port on the TB

Air FROM PCV valve on Drv side cover GOES to vac port on intake
