Is this worth doing?

I'm contemplating adding an air foil and a K&N drop in to my '86 TA. Because the stock intake is very restrictive, are these 2 mods even worth doing to it? I suppose any help is an improvement, but I wonder if there will even be much of any difference.

Thoughts are appreciated.

Re: Is this worth doing?

I had a feeling...I've been around these cars long enough to know its probably not worth doing

Keeping a stock appearance and noise level is important to me, so I guess I'll live with it as-is. Is the story any different if I "upgraded" to the '88-'89 style factory intake? I know those are supposedly less restrictive...

Re: Is this worth doing?

K&N Airfilters are great because they last for years. Rather than toss and replace them, you simply clean them and oil them. They are also much less restrictive than paper.

James, you have a Z28 with the large air box. Search for "high flow air lid". Also, search for "ram air boxes" to install functional ram air on your car.

Jason, anything you can do to improve your air intake tract will help your performance.
