Injector sequence ?
First thing, I'm a newbie here, I've been lurking for about a month and have found a lot of useful information on this site. Now, on to my question.....
I just purchased an '89 Iroc Convertible with 67k original miles, however, the car does not run and has not in about 3 years. It was stored in a garage and is in great condition except for the under hood wiring, specifically the injector wiring (rodent problem). The #6, 5,7 injector leads are chewed off, there is enough left for me to repair the wiring, but do the injectors fire in sequence, by bank or all at once? If it is by bank or all at once then all i have to do is hook the wires back up and i will be in business, but if they are sequential then i guess i am s.o.l. and will just have to hunt dow a new harness. I have looked at a wiring diagram and it appears it is fired by bank i.e. left-right-left... etc.
I apologize if this has been covered.
Thanks for any help.
P.S. I already plan to strip the wiring completely out and inspect all of it, so please dont make that suggestion. All i want right now is to make sure this car runs so i can decide on a plan of attack.

Re: Injector sequence ?
Thanks for the quick reply. I've been looking at painless wiring tpi harness p/n 60102 but I've been told quite a bit of assembly may be required and that i will have to trim a lot of the wires to the correct length. Any idea how true that is or perhaps someone here has a better idea where to go for a complete harness? I would like to replace all of the wiring this winter since it wont be driven from about October thru March as I live in northern Iowa and this is 1) not a practical winter vehicle 2) a 22 year old all-original car.

Re: Injector sequence ?
As ttop350 said it is a batch fire system, all injectors fire together. I can't really recommend an aftermarket harness unless the current one is heavily damaged. They just aren't the same.
For injector pigtails and other connectors check with Casper's Electronics:
www.casperselectronics.com
Also, EFI Connection:
www.eficonnection.com
The other thing to do while you have it apart is to replace the injectors. The stock Multec injector coils short out. Intermittently at first, then solid enough to leave you stranded. At this age it isn't worth the time to ohm them out (any under 12 ohms is bad and needs to be done hot).
Just get a set of Bosch type III's from some one such as South Bay:
www.southbayfuelinjectors.com
Install them while the plenum is apart and don't look back. For a 305 (LB9), need 19#/hr. For a 350 (L98) need 22#/hr.
And welcome to TGO.
RBob.
