on my 85 iroc when i start it up it revs up and down on its own and the tach jumps up and down but when i shift it into gear to get going it runs fine, and while im coming to a stop while i have my clutch pushed in it does the same thing, a guy i know who has been around 3rd gen camaros and firebirds for a long time said its a common problem or something for these car he said he thinks its the throttle sensor going bad or something. if anyone has had this problem before or has an idea of what im describing please let me know your thoughts. thanks in advance.

 

i have had it happen on a old toyota truck were the thing revs up and down i hated driving it cause it sounded like was wanting to race everyone off every stop light haha but it turned out to be the trottle positioning sensor like he said.

 

okay yeah ill have to pick one up cuz im droppin the car off monday to have some stuff done so i might as well have em do that too

okay i put the new TPS on there an hour ago and then took it out for a spin and it was still doing it,ugh! could it be my IAC to or something?
