How "Bad" is it to drive with the MAF unplugged?

Ive had idle and start issues for awhile now. I replaced my MAF once and the mechanic replaced it another time and said everything was good. Now its messed up again and runs fine with it unplugged. Im getting the engine over hailed next year. I need to drive it probably 200 miles in the next week, then its going into storage until I get back from deployment. What kind of negative affects will it have on my motor?]
