HSR?

I just pulled the firebird out for the summer after 3 years of sitting. I took the car out and did some suff to it because I had it sitting for so long. Drove it for a few days and remembered that it was kinda slow . I had bought a HSR about two and half years ago so i was thinking of putting that on But know i reading on here and it looks like nobody seems to like that intake anymore. I know it drops some tq but ups the hp . Should i dump the HSR and maybe try somehing else? I was gonna go with some new heads and cam at the same time looking for maybe lowish 13s already got bolts ons(headers, gears, exhaust,tq conv, ect) on a brand new 350 tpi. THANKS

Re: HSR?

I put it on my TA to replace the LT1 intake I had on it and it made quite a difference, although your going from TPI to HSR and I can't speak for people who have gone that route as I went from TPI to LT1 to HSR, and the car felt faster and more responsive as I went.

Who said that?

On paper maybe, you aren't going to notice but if it does, it makes it easier to launch because you have dialed out some of the TPI bottom end torque and is more than compensated by what you pickup at top end
Changing from a big tube , heavily ported TPI to a HSR gained .4 sec on my 383 with no other changes
