sensor in intake or ???

Car: 87 iroc
Engine: 305 tpi
Transmission: auto
Axle/Gears: 3.23 limited slip
sensor in intake or ???
i have a 87 iroc with a 305 tpi and auto trans
my air intake from the maf to the rad shroud area is a plastic `y` style with 2 small air filters underneath. on the driver side of the `y`it looks like there is a sensor installed but there is no wires coming from it.
so should there be?
i have looked around the net at some other motors and i have not found any with the y intake that have the sensor like mine. so i don`t know if they were different years or if my `y` is maybe off some other set up
does anyone know or have some pics as reference
