What are some of the TPI cars out there running in the 1/4 mile??? What kind of mods, and are you running slicks, if so how much of a difference from street tires to slicks..Lets see some numbers one more time guys, Thanks...Tom

stock plenum and base, L98 with just headers/exhaust/bumped timing. 2800 stall, 2.77 gear on factory 16x8 wheels and soft street tires, I went 13.89 at 97mph on a 1.89 60 ft!

Same setup, with slicks and 3.42's gears... 13.63 at 97 mph...1.75 60 ft. It was decent air, warm for the month but good air for decent times.

So 60 foot went down a good bit and picked up 2 tenths. This is where that rule of thumb comes from, 1 tenth in 60 ft = 2 tenths in the 1/4. For me its always been fairly close.

Now with stealth ram intake, 1.6 rockers, underdrive pulleys, light weight drag wheels/skinnies up front, tuning, it went 12.95 at 103.8 on a 1.71 60ft! Stock TPI leaves alot to be desired.
