car will not start, injector problem, hope there is some well knowledged people out t

i have a 91 ta with 305 tpi, car will not start, had replaced injectors with orange topped ones from a mustang injector resistance is 16.2 ohms car will not start, checked resistance acros injector conectors and they are like 5.0 ohms, as well the conector ends are showing continuity to ground on both sides of conector, dont know what all these things should have for resistance, or if conector ends should have continuity to ground on both sides i have a feeling that they should not be

check your injector fuse. It may be the ECM fuse. Did it ever run with those injectors or just wont start after changing the injectors?

Each bank of injectors are powered by separate fuses, this power is switched to ground by the ECM so with an injector disconnected and the key on there should be 12volts on one pin of the connector, but not the other which should show infinite resistance to ground (an open circuit) when measured for resistance. The injector resistance should be measured disconnected from the wiring harness, you should take measurements when cold and hot to ensure they're not crapping out when hot. The fuse is a 5amp fuse each bank draws approx 3 amps (12 volts/16 ohms =.75 amps x 4 = 3 amps.)
If your injectors are really 5 ohms each the total draw per bank is 9.6amps (12 volts/5 ohms = 2.4 amps x 4 = 9.6 amps) and would blow the fuse immediately.

are they 16.2 ohms or 5 ohms? which one? They should all be around the same
