Correct ECM

Whats the correct ECM for a 91 Z/28 350 TPI with the 700R4 but doing a 5 speed swap? The tranny I'm getting I'm told is from an 87 TA so I'm not sure if the tranny has a cable drive or is electronic for the speedometer. I am almost clueless when it comes to ECMs.

Re: Correct ECM

a 91 should have the 7730 ECM with an AUJP MEMCAL.
the trans coming from a TA may not have used a speed cable.
i know a good number of the TAs used electronic speedometers but i don't know what the model years are.
but swapping it out to a cable drive shouldn't be to big of a deal.

because GM never put a standard trans behind the 350 TPI, they never made a chip for it. so getting a chip burned with S_AUJP_V4 thats set up for a standard would probably be the best way to go.

If cable drive you can use this to supply correct signal for '730 ECM
