89 camaro tpi swap questions
Hi guys, I have a 89 Rs camaro orignal 2.8 car. I have a carb 350 motor in it now.. however i just purchased a complete 87 camaro tpi.. i have the harness from enigne as well as the under dash/ "all the wiring".. My question is can I use my existing firewall/ bulkhead connector from the 2.8 to basically plug in the TPI.. All data does not have pin connector view....Is fuse box, key ons etc the same? or should i swap EVERYTHING from the 87 donor car? Any advice is helpfull
thank you
thank you
Re: 89 camaro tpi swap questions
If it were my project, I'd purchase the factory service manuals for the 1989 Camaro and 1987 Camaro. These manuals will contain the details you are looking for.
Don't count on the bulkheads being pinned the same.

Re: 89 camaro tpi swap questions
well, it seems like Gm didnt change much through out the years..I know firebird harness isnt interchangle able. most of that bulkhead connector is inputs for the gauges, 2 red wires are power to fuse box, purple is switched for starting, red is power to dist, some wires for wiper speeds.. Or should i switch EVERYTHING?
