fuel line replacement

hi, im putting a tpi engine in my 86 t/a, with walbro in line pump,i have to do new fuel lines,,can i use some steel fuel line all the way like factory, but use fuel injection rubber hose with fuel injection clamps for rear(pump/filter/tank) connections and also for the front portion of flex hose? or does it have to be like the service manual claims that i HAVE TO use all gm replacement fittings and hoses.

Re: fuel line replacement

Your plan should work fine. For safety, I Double-Clamped all my hose connections, but that is probably overkill.
