Air intake questions.

I plan to remove the dual snorkel and make my own intake. I ordered summits "spe-9879" intake elbow since it said it was for an LT1, I figured it would work....It doesnt. Appears the TPI sits further back?

Has anyone used one of these on TPI and made it work?

Are there any aftermarket elbows that do work?

Also, I am wanting to go to the left battery tray. Anyone point me to some pictures of left intakes? All Ive ever seen is to the right.

Its 4" from siliconeintakes.com. It was about 120 or so to my door. Had to cut to fit, but it is nice.

Thanks for the pics. Engine configuration is totally different. Is that the stock upper rad hose?
