fire by distributor
just like it sounds, had a fire right by the distributor. My question is will an 1986 harness work in 1985 tpi? I am more concerned with the ECM and MAF.

the ecm connector will need to be repinned for the 165 to the 870. if you can get a maf and 1227165 ecm for a 86-89 it would be a great upgrade.

Re: fire by distributor
So I decided to go ahead and do the swap to the 1227165 ecm. I have a list of compatible cars that use the same ecm. Can I use my prom out of my 85 ecm? I dont see a difference in part numbers. The ecm I found is out of a 1987 Sonoma 2.5l
