Fuel Pump Help Needed
I just pulled the bad fuel pump out need some recommendations. I pulled it the correct way, by lowering the tank, not cutting the hole. Yes it was a pain but the old one is out. Anyway, for you guys that have replaced your pump, would you recommend replacing the sending unit. Keep in mind this is from an '85 Iroc. Also, what fuel pump would you recommend as a replacement. Internal or External and which one? Thanks.

Re: Fuel Pump Help Needed
According to the listing you gave for the AC Delco, it is not compatible with an 85 TPI IRoc.

Nevermind. I think the compatability check on the ebay listing is messed up because when I look at SummitRacing, they list that as one of the options.

Re: Fuel Pump Help Needed
After doing some research and calling SummitRacing it looks like the ACDelco EP241 is will NOT work for my car. Any other suggestion from you guys that have an 85 TPI that has replaced their fuel pump?

This is the recommendation I got from www.Hawksthirdgenparts.com. Is this really needed for the Walbro pump?

Re: Fuel Pump Help Needed
I have found nothing that tells me that this pump works for an 85 Iroc. Even when I called AC Delco, they say that the only Irocs that is works for is 89-90.

Re: Fuel Pump Help Needed
Has anyone found this AC Delco EP241 kit any where besides the ebay link? Not crazy about the feedback that seller has....

Re: Fuel Pump Help Needed
Or has anyone delt with this company?? Looks like a good deal as well. A lot of people on ThirdGen talk good about this one. I'm not oppsed the AC Delco, just don't want to get burned by a bad seller/company

Well, I ordered the pump and sending unit today. Got a good deal on the sending unit ($90). Hopefully it will all be here soon.

Re: Fuel Pump Help Needed
Same here. The fuel pump is in and the car has fired up fine. Now to get all of the other stuff put back together. I need to replace the swaybar endlinks. I had to break one of mine to get it off. It doesn't matter I was going to replace them anyway. Any suggestions on replacements. I am going to bead blast the swaybar and panhard bar before I reinstall them. Probably painting them red.
Re: Fuel Pump Help Needed
Has anybody looked into this ...... Jcwhitney.com. Part # sp20a1H
Spectre premium is the company.
Says it's the pump and sending unit for only $119. Free delivery.
