Bigger maf sensor ?

I just got a "first" tpi intake setup and I think that I'm gunna need a larger maf sensor.

Any opinions on what brand or size I should get?

Thanks Very Much,
Alex

They don't make a bigger Mass air flow sensor for our cars.

Re: Bigger maf sensor ?

It is now a 355 with the "first" tpi intake, lt4 cam, arf 180 aluminum heads, 1.5 roller rockers.
The engine is running rich. and when warmed up wants to stall at stops.

Re: Bigger maf sensor ?

Yeah you wont need a larger MAF for a 355, a lot of guys here have used the stock MAF with 383's with no problem.

& it sounds like you benefit from a custom tune.

Re: Bigger maf sensor ?

MAF will allow you to mod farther away from stock than MAP will, but it looks like you have modded enough to start needing a custom tune. If it was MAP, you'd have needed the custom tune a few mods back.

Might be able to adjust the TPS or (more likely) adjust the idle stop to at least get it to stop dieing at stops.

Posted on behalf of Blowerworks:

blowerworks.net has been providing custom MAF sensors and related tunes for tpi cars for about 4 years now. 3", 3.5" and 4" OD housings are available or whatever size you specify.

Suitable for naturally aspirated, turbo or supercharger use in either blow-through or draw-through configurations. Anything from stock replacement to roughly 1,000 hp can be supported depending upon housing diameter, sensor element, injector and tuning options.

So if you're looking for a bigger maf sensor and custom tune for tpi, here's your source.
