Re: code 43 help

There may be several things causing the code 43, larry's electric takes v6 memcals and solders in a jumper for cylinder select. A incorrectly wired distributor could will cause the timing to retard. A check for the knock in the memcal can cause the code 43, knock sensors are specific to cid and frequency. is this sd or maf? if sd what is the second letter on the knock board.

taco? If this is speed density it has a knock board on the memcal in the ecm. If this is maf it uses a esc module. Make sure the est wire has been reconnected after the base timing was set. If this was reconnected or disconnect koeo or engine running it may have set the 32 than. The wires I was referring to was inside the dtributor being reversed polarity.

Re: code 43 help

sounds like you need to have the vehicle off disconnect the est , set you base timing 6dbtdc. shut the engine off reconnect the est and disconnect the battery to clear the 43.
