hi i have a 1985 T.P.I. i am getting noid on 2,4,6,8 on 1,3,5,7 no noid
but i have a hot on both the power and ground wires on the odd number bank and the cooling fan runs , anyone have any similar problems they found a cure to?

sounds like you have a bad injector driver in the 1226870, you might think of upgrading to the 1227165.

ok so i can upgrade it then to the 1227165 just install or is there other things that need to be done? i just pulled the computer and it looks like it has been changed once before someone painted it black with no markings on it

the 870 has a eprom in it and the chip access cover is on one side. The 165 has a memcal and a center plate on the ecm to acces the memcal. Follow the instructions for the rewiring on the link above. you would need a 1227165 ecm and a memcal fro a 350 automatic 86-87 camaros do not have vats, The 89 programing for the 1227165 I feel is the best.
