No start issue

1985 Z28 305 TPi will not start. Sometimes it would try to run but real rough but now will not start at all. Have spark, have fuel, just trying to see what else I should be checking.

I am about to do a motor and tranny swap but I wanted to make sure I had no issues with the car first I dont want to install good stuff and it not run.

Note TPS sensor has been replaced all tests on it show good.

Re: No start issue

How about your spark plugs and wires? you may have spark but if it's not a high voltage and good quality spark, it may not be enough. You may also have moisture inside your distribuitor or faulty wires that could be arching the electricity to ground.

I will try that I will just go through that whole sytem and eliminate it. I just want to make sure the car itself is in order before I put the work into it. Thanks for the reply!

You're welcome man. I hope you find out what's wrong with it soon. Good luck!
