low fuel pressure need help!!!

I have an 89 TA with a 5.7 so far i have replaced the injectors and AFPR from southbay i also just replaced the fuel pump. The car runs good except for a little stutter if i floor it from a dead stop wich i am quessing that is from my low fuel pressure. my fuel pressure at prime (just key on) is 32psi-running with vac line off is 32-vac line connected drops to 28 running out of ideas any other thoughts would be great.

If you have a adj fuel regulator.. turn up the PSI until its correct. Did you install a new fuel filter after the new pump was put in??

Re: low fuel pressure need help!!!

I wondered that, you may have a bad pump or bad regulator.
You did hook the fuel lines back up correctly when you changed the pump??
I'm thinkn they only go on one way tho..

Re: low fuel pressure need help!!!

I am starting to think regulator because my fuel pressure was exactly the same on my old pump as it is on the new one. Correct me if im wrong but i should have some adjustment on the AFPR when i turn the screw???

Re: low fuel pressure need help!!!

Yes you should. Depending on which one you have there should be a flat metal disc inside and on the top of the reg spring for the screw to push down on.. If thats MIA then you wont have any adjustment..
