Info about Hypertech chip

I opened up my ECM to try some reprogramming and found that instead of the ACXT chip which is supposed to be there, there is a Hypertech chip in its place.
It is Hypertech PN 127041, SN 184217. Does anyone know anything about this chip, what it is supposed to change, is it any good?

Re: Info about Hypertech chip

If you had spent money to go buy one new, off the shelf, then well, you would've wasted money. No real difference. Not even CLOSE to being worthwhile. That being said, you didn't even know you had it. I had the same thing happen. Bought the car with the chip already installed. ....and that being said, it's no WORSE than the stock chip.

Good luck with any tuning you do.
