How much more RPM

A stock tpi on a 350 IROC with a ZZ4 cam is all done at 4600rpm. How much more RPM do you get with an Edelbrock Base, SLP runners and opened up plenum and throttle body. And it can be an accel base I am just wondering how much more RPM you get with the better aftermarket stock style pieces? And do you get even more if you port an edelbrock or accel base and port the slp runners? I need to know at what RPM it is all done with a small ZZ4 type cam over a stock cam. I am thinking about keeping my 92 Z vert stock with a TPI type induction instead of the HSR I have for it. Its going to be a cruiser anyway and I would rather get 25MPG and have 360-400HP so I may be better off keeping the stock TPI set-up. You can also figure 2210 headers into this equation if it helps.

Re: How much more RPM

FWIW
I ran a ZZ4 cam in a Vette L98 (113 alum heads)
Siamised stock base , SLP runners , fully ported plenum ,long tubes and free flow exh.
While it felt strong SOTP to 5400 ( were it "felt" like it was dropping off ), best track times were achieved shifting at 4800
Based on prob 100+ runs using stock , 52 and 58mm TB's , different launch revs , different shift points , etc

Even in it's original crate engine with the 113 heads, and a carb the ZZ4 cam is all done by 5500

Re: How much more RPM

Good info, that is why I stated a ZZ4 cam or a very streetable cam that would get to 5500-6200 RPM before the cam giving up. Air flow wise I was wondering how far a stock type rig would go without cam limitation and usuing a fairly close to stock head like a ported 113, edelbrock head etc. I will probably use the stealth ram and pro-comps with good valve train and a ZZ4 cam. I would like to hit 400hp but being a very streetable cruiser is the main job of my vert. Already have 2210s, be cool rad, walbro pump, new dist, new alum water pump, spiro wires, factory forged 1pc 350 crank, forged mahle pistons, 6 H beam rods W good bolts, all balanced, just need heads and cam. 460HP and 6300RPM and still very streetable would be a bonus but I don't know what head and cam combo along with the stealth ram would get me there without idling over 700rpm and loping too much.

Re: How much more RPM

I was running a ZZ4 cam, stock heads, full exhaust and bone stock TPI. I also felt like about 4600 or 4700 was about it. hard to say with the stock tach. Anyhow, I swapped on fully ported SLP runners and a matching ported plenum, and now I can easily hit 5000, although I won't swear around 4900 may be a better shift point. I wasn't planning on putting the TPI on until I built the motor, but kinda got bored and figured what the heck. I also have a Eddy base, although I may put that on too, for the sake of seeing what kinda RPMs I can get.
