Hey guys, after being down many months, the GTA is just about ready to be reassembled. what started as a just a new 700r4 ended up being a new tranny torque converter, & top end including a new cam. I picked up a set of vortecs for $100. got the alex parts spring retainers seals, and some comp cam rockers. lunati 60121 cam, 24lb injectors. Im currently searching for a set of used runners to port as well as a new SDPC intake(purchasing this upcoming friday)
here are my questions:
1.) I have a full exhaust and am looking to possibly delete the egr and smog pump. (found the smog delete pump for 4x.xx, and block off plates for 2x.xx) With the smog delete and a chip from pcm4less burned to delete the egr. what mods would be necessary? when I searched I found that the egr on the vortec tpi intake is different. than that of a stocker.
2.) if i block off the egr do i have to delete the smog pump?

I plan on ordering the intake this upcoming friday and If i need the smog delete and block offs or anything else id like to order them at the same time. any info is appreciated! thanks in advance guy! Trae

If you need EGR you have to use the rear EGR connection on the intake with a line to the exh manifold like the TPI Vettes did
The block off plate in place of the EGR valve seals it , a block off plate for the rear port is only cosmetic

EGR and smog are two separate systems not related to each other ; can delete one or both independently
