Port Eddy TPI manifold or leave stock?

Quick question.

I'm currently running a zz4 cam L98 with full exhaust, tune, etc. etc. I wasn't gonna go any deeper until I got a new motor, and purchased a fully ported SLP runner/ported plenum TPI, and a stock, brand new, Edelbrock base. The plan would be to port match to the new heads. Planning on Trickflows. Anyhow, while these parts were sitting, I figured, what the heck, might as well throw the runners and plenum on and just see. A quick few hours and it was on. I gotta say I was really impressed!!!!! ....soooo....now I'm considering taking the whole top end off, and installing the base manifold as well. I really wanna remove all air flow restrictions other than the stock OE heads of course, and see what the ole L98 long block can do. At this point, I am NOT going to consider portmatching the new Eddy base to the stock heads. Only gonna do it once, and it's gonna be matched to the Trickflow gaskets. 1256 IIRC.

I know that for the stock heads, the Eddy base is probably good enough outta the box. BUT......I'd love to port it to the 1256 gaskets, and get that out of the way. Would doing that, while still running stock heads actually HURT performance? Would that large manifold port, with the abrupt change to the smaller stock head port create TOO much turbulence??? Remember, this TPI has bigger aspirations in the future, this is just a "what the heck" experiment since I have the parts. I don't wanna go through the effort of a manifold swap to eek out a smidge more performance, if I'm only gonna lose it by putting on a manifold that is TOOOO BIG!!!!! ....or maybe the turbulence will be negligible at this level.

Thoughts???
