lt1 comp tpi system

I have been looking at threads for a while learning the limitations and problems with tpi systems and the big hold-back seems to be the 8 bit computer on the maf sys. which seems to me to be the better sys. so my thought is this the lt1 system seems very good 16 bit has anyone tried running a lt1 computer on the sbc tpi i realize the optispark sys wouldnt be used but i dont know if that is in the engine computer or what would be required to be modified
thanks in advance for input i would just like to avoid having o go completely aftermarket for my efi needs if possible

A question better asked in the ECM Dept
https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/dfi-ecm/

but I don't recall anybody claiming a loss of power from the computer
If you were after a ECM upgade you would bypass the LT1 and go straight to the far superior LSX ECM
