TPI flooding?
Hi, I've got an 88 TPI Camaro. After running a while the car starts to idle at 1500 rpm for some reason and if I turn it off I can't start it again unless I put the gas pedal to the floor. I think this is how you clear a flooded motor...can anyone confirm that is the clear flood procedure? I think it tells the computer to adjust things, such as shutting injectors. Also, any ideas on why the car is idling high/flooding?

Re: TPI flooding?
If your car is flooding when you turn it off check the vacuum line to the regulator for signs of fuel. If that looks good hook up a fuel pressure gauge and see how fast it drops when you shut the car off. sounds like your injectors are leaking. You can verify by priming the fuel system and if it rapidly drops start pulling your plugs to look for wet plugs. If you find the plugs are wet on one or a few cylinders replace all the injectors. Southbay fuel injectors has a great price on there bosch 3's.
