Strong fuel smell in exhaust and plenum

I had a strong fuel smell in my exhaust and code 25 MAT sensor. I took the plenum off end the plenum was damp and smelled or raw fuel???

The car has 48000 miles and still has the factory fuel pump and injectors.

I have read that the FPR can be the problem...mine is a TPIs AFPR with only about 8000 miles on it.

Any thoughts?

Pull the vac line from the AFPR to the intake off and check / smell for fuel.
If the diaphragm in the reg is split it allow raw fuel to go straight into the intake from the reg through the vac line

Very carefully , no ignition sources
With the hose disconnected from the intake end and a rag underneath it , turn the key on to prime and see if any fuel comes out the line.

If the MAT , located in the bottom of the plenum was covered in fuel it may not be performing correctly , hence the code

Pulled the vacuum line and turned the key. No fuel came out.

Can the diaphragm have a tear yet no fuel come out the vacuum line?
