I can't get my car to run right when i set the timing to spec I have a 86 tpi setup in a 86 car and a 89 305 under it ecm and memcal is for 86 305 tpi. I disconect brown black wire set base timing to 6 deg btdc shut off disconect bat plug wire back in connect bat start runs alittle rough drive around slow for about 5 min then car goes into limp mode thru codes 23 32 43 45 34 its done this twice i drove it about a month with the timing set by ear wire plugged in no problems other than high idle bout 1200 to 1500 and no codes any thoughts I'm thinking esc or ecm easy check with no scanner
