85 Corvette head gasket set
Hi everybody. I'm about to get a new complete head set for my 350 TPI out of an 85 corvette. The guy at Autozone said I'd have to measure ports for some reason. Does this sound right?
Anyways, is there a specific part number and brand some of you die hard's prefer or just get the standard felpro set?
I would really appreciate any advice before I go spending my hard earned money! Searched a little and saw threads mentioning different thicknesses etc.. concerning compression. Just want to do a good freshening up of all the gaskets with no guesswork. Thanks!

FEL-PRO Part # 7733PT2 and a set of new head bolts. If you have a straight edge see if the head is warped when you pop it off.

I used rockauto.com for lookup, iirc the factory might have been .050 and the felpros are .o40 crushed.
