Hey everyone, new guy here has a question I'm hoping someone can answer.

I have a customer who brought in an unknown year engine and wiring harness in a 57 Bel Air. After doing some research I found out the block is a 68 350ci the intake and runners are approx 86 Corvette as it has the cold start injector but the wiring harness is still giving me problems. It has the MAP sensor which I understand is a simple conversion on these engines but the TPS sensor is where I have a problem. The sensor itself on the throttle body is the three barrel side by side set up. The harness supplied is the smaller connector with all three wires inside, I ordered a 96 TPS and while it will now fit the harness it won't fit the TB. I got a pigtail to convert the harness and adapt to the TPS that the engine came with but can't find a wiring diagram to hook it up. The wires are
orange, brown and blk/wht on the harness
and blue, grey and black on the pigtail.
What goes to what???

Is there a wiring diagram with the harness to show what those wires are as they a not factory colors for the TPS

On the original wiring
the blue is the TPS signal to the ECM
the grey is the 5V reference
the black is the ground

The MAF and MAP TPS both use the same colors

Thanks for the fast reply! I do t have any info or diagrams on the aftermarket harness. The customer bought it from eBay and is not a big help. The info you gave me will definitely help. I guess a little trial and error is in my future. Thanks man!!

 

What year ECU are you using?
