what are the computer differences between a 89 305 tpi computer vs a 87 5.7 tpi motor with a 9th injector. Im trying to leave my 305 together for another project. Are the computers the same with differnt chips? thanks

yes, same computer, 87 has the cold start injector too. if you need a chip, talk to Tuned Performance

so will i need a custom chip for my car to run the 5.7? I have the original computer out of 5.7 car. And should I look for an intake without the 9th injector?...I live in FL thanks

same 1227165 ecms but the calibrations in the memcals are different. You can use any 86-89 350 programing but some 88-89 have vats enabled. The 89 programing will get rid of the need for the ninth injector. Hawksthirdgen has the block off kit to delete the ninth injector.
