Aluminum head bolts

anyone know what i should torque these to? i have a haynes manual, but i cant find it and i'm not sure what i should put aftermarket aluminum heads at. also does it matter what kind of head gasket i got? a friend who works for a local Napa got me a regular 350 head gasket, wasnt sure if it had to be a specific material for aluminum.

Re: Aluminum head bolts

you are supposed to torque them to per the head bolt manufactures rating regardless of the head material or gasket. i believe ARP recommends 80ft/lbs where as my service manual states 77ft/lbs for stock bolts

the head gasket does change with cylinder head material. some gaskets dont like aluminum heads
