Sensor Identification please
So on an 89 camaro, the fuel pump relay is on the drivers side firewall. What is the relay directly to the left of it called?? On a TBI car the spark module is located right behind this sensor, thanks

If you are describing it right, that should be the cooling fan relay

So why does the fan cut off when the fuel pump relay is unplugged?

One sensor has 5 wires one has 4 wires. They're not swapped

Nothing happens differently. It I unplug the fuel pump relay, the pump primes fine, car starts fine. If the fuel pump relay is plugged in, the fuse by the battery blows.

Then you have the wrong relay. There is no way for the ECM to provide power to the pump, without that relay.

And the fuse blows only after the car is warmed up

Do you have the fuel pump and fan connectors reversed at the relays? It fits the problem you are describing... Car gets hot, fan turns on and blows the fuse.
