L05 with TPI, any problems?

Hi, First of all I´m sorry if this has been asked before but I could not find the correct answer for it.

In short, does using a stock L05 from a truck with TPI cause tuning issues?

Explained: My brother bought a 91 RS Camaro, the previous owner took out the L03 305 and installed a L05 from a 93 pick up, he then for some reason or another took the engine out and disassembled it, and lost the TBI hardware, so, my brother is aching to install the engine again(engine is OK, don´t know why previous owner took it apart save for the painting he did), I have a spare TPI system, complete with 350 injectors save for the ECM and eprom, what I want to know is if there would be any problems running this engine with a stock l98 eprom(have to source it) or will He have to get a custom tune? Since the engine is apart right now I was thinking of getting a LT1 cam and roller hardware for the engine, will that cause problems too?

How much margin is there in the L98 stock tune for these little mods?

Note: Getting the right L98 heads or anything else is not an option right now, I know he will suffer in the performance area but he is more concerned right now with driveability than performance.

Thanks!

Re: L05 with TPI, any problems?

i put tpi on my 3/4 ton silverado alebit with a megasquirt ecm controlling it
it runs so much nicer then the tbi deffinatly worth it

u might get it to run on a stock l98 prom but its going to need a real tune to run good
