1LE fuel tank in an 89 Formula?

1LE fuel tank in an 89 Formula?
So I'm chasing an EVAP leak that turns out to be a bad O ring on the tank sender. I pull the sender out and I've got baffles and what appears to be the 1LE style fuel sock on the pump(it's centered instead of at one end).
From the looks of things no one else has been this far into the car, no wrench marks etc... Nothing else has been 1LE stuff so......????
Did someone install the wrong sock or am I dealing with an anomaly ?

Does it have a big plastic baffle in the bottom of the tank?
It could very well be a factory mix up or even been change out when new or through the yrs.
