TPI Swap Help
I recently swapped my car over to speed density TPI from a carb setup that the previous owner had put on it. It is a 92 camaro rs with the original L03/700r4 trans.
The problem I am having at the moment is getting it to crank I have ran through all the grounds/connections and they seem to look right but I am sure there is something I am missing.
I have power in most places except for certain things like the Horn and interior lights. I have narrowed that down to a problem with the fuse box everytime I place a fuse in the spot for the horn or interior lights it immediately blows out. Not sure why.
Appreciate any kind of input you guys may have to offer on this.
Thanks

Re: TPI Swap Help
How did you compensate for the VATS system in the new Speed Density ECM, did you disable it in the bin...?

No I did not disable it, I was actually told that I would not need to if I purchased the stock prom.

If the previous owner swapped to a carb it could be anything that may have been hacked. If your car was still tbi and switched to a factory sd tpi harness then the vats and so on would not make a difference. No telling what got changed when the carb got put on there, especially if fuses are popping.
Re: TPI Swap Help
I by passed vats by putting a zip tie on the relay in the kick pannel. U may wana check urs out to see what u have? I herd of people cutting wires then grounding it out. I just removed the kick panned and took the cover off and closed the points and put a tie on. Figured if it didnt work at least I didnt butcher anything. Hope this helps
