No Idle, excessive fuel, black smoke, loss of power
Hey guys I could use some professional help from this forum.
I have a 1988 camaro Iroc z 350 Auto.
I was recently driving it and suddenly after a km or 2 the car started to misfire not idle and give out rich black smoke.
To keep it at idle I have increased the idle speed but its still very rough and its running super rich and there is absolutely no power even with the gas pedal all the way down, still wont go above 2000 rpm ( in gear). People behind me would choke to death.
codes being flashed are
MAT
MAF
Burn off relay
but the interesting thing is that the car was running fine for over a year with these codes but suddenly one day it just collapsed. It has been running without a MAF for over a year now and a faulty MAT but never gave such issues up till now
could you please guide me in this
i have checked the following
tps- ok
spark wires- ok
fuel pump/ filter ok
vacuum leaks- ok
injectors are firing
what other possible fault could it be?

Check the fuel pressure, fuel pressure regulator diaphragm, and the vacuum line going between the FPR and manifold. Also try dissconnecting the MAF sensor. Lastly, If i recall correctly the ECM will only store up to 3 codes so you may have a host of other issues that are just not displayed when you ring out the codes. Might want to start fixing those existing issues.
