TPI no injector pulse??
89 GTA 5.7 TPI. Just installed new valve seals. After putting everything back together car will not start. Have fire at the plugs. Test light shows power to the injectors. I have added a Jet adjustable regulator. I have it justed all the way down and it measures 60 psi when you turn the key on. Also I installed a 52 mm throttle body. Car will start with starting fluid. I checked all the fuses in the fuse box and all checked out. Where is the fuse to the injectors? Would the 60 psi prevent the car from starting? Is the only way to check for pulse is to use a noid light?

Re: will not start
This is what I have done so far.
Noid test indicate all injectors are firing.
There is fire at #1 plug
Ohm show high 14.9 to 17.9 most were at 17.2
Checked all fuses including the one at the battery for fuel injection. All good.
I unhooked the TPS from throttle body and left it plugged in.
Car starts with starting fluid.
There is 60 psi on the rail after adjusting down the JET performance regulator

Re: TPI no injector pulse??
Turn that fuel pressure down to 43.5 psi. Even if it's not the cause of your problem, it's no where near where it should be. I'd pull a plug just to quick look and know for sure if it's fouled out or not from so much fuel pressure. The injector(s) that show lower resistance, ie 14.9 could be an injector going out but not the cause of your current no start. If you have correct fuel pressure, good spark at the correct time, and the injectors are opening then it should start. It may not run correctly or for long, but those are further problems down the line.

Re: TPI no injector pulse??
I'm going to go ahead and replace the multec. What brand do you recommend. I can get trickflow new at a very reasonable price. Any thoughts RBob

Re: TPI no injector pulse??
Use injectors that both: have the compensation data available, and will supply the engine's fuel needs. Then take care of the tune.
