Car runs rough, then dies.
Car runs rough at 1,500 rpm with my foot on the pedal, shoots up to 4,000 rpm, and back down to 1,500. Will die if I take my foot off the pedal. Says I have codes, but it just gives me 12 back.

If those two sensors are not in sync with each other, and the min idle is not set per the procedure, you can/will/possibly have a very high idle.
Also, check all your vacuum lines and make sure you are not sucking additional air. THAT in itself will cause a very high idle.

Thank you for the detailed reply. It doesn't idle at 4 it just revs to it for some reason. I will do that reset soon hopefully. I'll let you know if it helps. Thank you for the reply, didn't get a lot on my last thread.
