Inside a Highflow brand fuel pump.

I'm on pump number 5 of the fuel pump circus extravaganza. Thank's to boiling fuel and the slow cooker of a gas tank, I have become quite proficient in dropping said tank. I think I can do it faster than actually filling it up now. I've been left stranded far to many times, so on this round I've decided to go with an entire Racetronix upgrade. Harness and all, including a new Spectre sending unit. I hope to hell I solved my issue with this fuel tank nonsense. Anyway, I cut open the Highflow pump just to see what exactly is inside these things. This was a $45 pump off ebay. I tried an expensive Holley and a Walbro in the past. Both of which lasted less than a year. I honestly have a hard time believing this pump supplies a 350. The inlet hole is very small. The outlet is 3 times smaller than that, in addition to a check valve in the way.

The tiny hole in that predominately black picture is the outlet. How can that produce enough flow at wide open throttle?

I've no doubt. Just always wondered about the volume.
