hey guys, I just bought an 89 GTA 5.7 and I was curious what everyone's normal charge was at various rmp/loads, I just replaced my battery and the belt is tight. It worries me because with the lights on at idle in drive it drops darn close to 10V or so, and only goes to 13 just above idle with nothing on, and when I turn on the rear defroster it drops dramatically. Any input would be appreciated, THANKS!!

 

i had the same problem with my 87 iroc after i went through 4 altenators i checked the wire that plugs into it and it was fried fixed that and has charged ever since
